Usw 2010 Collective Agreement

United Steelworkers Locals 2010 and 2010-01 formally represent two groups of workers, administrative support staff or university assistants, with separate collective agreements for each group. Finally, on December 12, 2010, votes were counted and the most recent LOCAL ETC was formed and staff were represented by a legislated bargaining partner. The vote on university assistants in the 2010-01 unit was successfully completed and was counted in April 2011. Collective agreements set out the terms and conditions of employment of unionized workers as well as the rights, privileges and obligations of the union, employer and workers. The members of the 2010- 2010-01 ETC joined the majority of Queen employees, protected by collective agreements and represented by certified bargaining units such as CUPE 229, CUPE 254, CUPE 1302, ONA, OPSEU, PSAC and QUFA. The first local collective agreement 2010 was signed on March 13, 2013, covering the period from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2014 and the first executive for the premises was installed on November 29, 2012. The campaign lasted almost 3 years and, in the spring of 2010, a secret vote by all of the Queen`s employees on the union issue took place. After the vote, a considerable number of ballots were seized, pending litigation and agreement on whether certain staff members had the right to vote. On that date, the general agents employed in the research contracts were excluded from the proposed bargaining unit and their votes were subsequently excluded from the count.
